Irene joined Serein Family Law in November 2023 and is a Solicitor of the firm.

Irene holds a Bachelor of Laws from Deakin University (achieving a Distinction average) and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from Leo Cussen Institute.  Irene has many years of experience in family law, firstly as an administrative assistant and paralegal, and most recently as a solicitor, having been admitted to practice in March 2023.

Irene continues to expand her family law knowledge and practice, gaining experience in various property matters, parenting matters, spousal maintenance, financial agreements, divorce and intervention orders.

Irene’s passion for family law originates from her commitment to helping people and she is dedicated to maintaining a strong focus on social justice in practice.  She has held various volunteer positions over the years and also studied abroad at Iowa State University in 2019, helping her gain international perspective.  

Irene is a warm, compassionate and conscientious lawyer with a focus on providing holistic and commercial advice.  Irene is fluent in Tamil and is a member of the Family Law Sections of the Law Institute of Victoria and Law Council of Australia.
